Distribute Single
Once your song has been uploaded and verified, you can distribute it to streaming platforms by creating a Single release.
Step 1 – Select “Single” under Set Release
Click the Create button and choose Set Release.
Then select Single to begin the release flow for just one track.
You’ll be prompted to choose one of the songs already uploaded to your account.
Step 2 – Complete the Release Flow
Distributing a single involves 3 simple steps:
① Song Information
Here you’ll see all the metadata you originally entered for the song.
Take a moment to review it — this is your chance to correct or update anything before it goes live.
② Distribution Information
This is the last step before launching your release. Here you’ll define how your song is distributed and who holds the rights.
Ⓟ Phonogram copyright → The person or entity that owns the recording (master) rights. This is usually the label or the artist if self-released.
© Copyright → The person or entity that owns the composition (lyrics and music).
Do you have a record label? → Check this if you’re releasing through a label.
If you leave it blank, the main artist’s name will be used as the label by default.
Record Label → Enter the name of the label associated with this release. Optional unless you’re under a label.
UPC / EAN → (Optional) Enter the Universal Product Code or European Article Number if you already have one.
If left blank, SONGS will automatically generate one for you.
Previously Released → Check this box if the song has already been released on other platforms or distributors before.
Enabling this option will allow you to set an original release date that differs from the one you choose for distribution through SONGS.
Release Date → The day your song will go live on platforms.
The minimum required time is 72 hours from the moment you submit your release.
⚠️ Some DSPs (like Apple or Amazon) may perform random manual inspections, which can cause delays. We recommend leaving extra buffer days to ensure your release goes live as planned.
Select Digital Service Providers to distribute on → Choose where you want your song to be distributed (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, etc.).
Select UGC (User Generated Content) DSPs to distribute on → These include platforms that allow user-generated videos using your song (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts).
Your track must meet specific criteria to be eligible (see Song Content & Track Properties Song Content).
③ Review & Submit
In this final step, double-check that all the information is accurate. Once confirmed, hit Submit Single.
Your release will be queued for validation and distribution.
✅ You’ll receive a confirmation email once your release has been approved and scheduled.
