Required Fields for Creating a Wrapped SONG (SONG)

To create a Wrapped SONG (SONG) in SONGS, it is essential to provide a series of data and metadata that ensure the correct categorization and distribution of your song. Here are the mandatory and optional fields you will need to complete:

Mandatory Fields (MUST)

1. Artist Name:

   • The name of the main artist performing the song.

2. Song Title:

   • The official name of the song.

3. Language / Instrumental:

   • Specify if the song has lyrics and in which language, or if it is an instrumental piece.

4. Primary Genre:

   • The main musical genre to which the song belongs.

5. Song Format (SONG LOSSLESS):

   • Must be in WAV or FLAC format to ensure maximum audio quality.

Optional Fields (OPTIONAL)

1. Featuring:

   • Names of additional artists who collaborated on the song.

2. Artwork:

   • The single's cover image.

3. Production Year:

   • The year the song was produced. If left blank, the year the WSong is created will be used.

4. Previously Released:

   • Indicate if the song has been previously released. If left blank, it will be considered a premiere.

5. Lyrics:

   • The lyrics of the song.

6. ISRC Code:

   • International Standard Recording Code. If not provided, SONGS will generate one.

7. ISWC Code:

   • International Standard Musical Work Code. If not provided, the song will not have this metadata. It is recommended to add the ISWC provided by the publishing company to facilitate the distribution of composition royalties.

8. Publishing Info / Credits:

   • Information about the composers, arrangers, and other collaborators.

9. Clip Start Time:

   • The time at which the promotional clip of the song should start. If left blank, it will be set to 00:00.

10. Cover:

    • Indicate if the song is a cover of another song.

11. Description:

    • A description or pitch for playlists.

12. Recording Location:

    • The location where the song was recorded.

13. UPC / EAN Code:

    • If no code is provided, SONGS will generate one.

14. Secondary Genre:

    • An additional musical genre to which the song belongs.

15. ℗ (Sound Recording Copyright):

    • Indicates the holder of the sound recording rights. If left blank, the artist's name followed by the symbol (◒) will appear to indicate the possibility of acquiring SongShares when visiting the song on a DSP.

16. © (Composition Copyright):

    • Indicates the holder of the composition rights. If left blank, the artist's name followed by the symbol (◒) will appear to indicate the possibility of acquiring SongShares when visiting the song on a DSP.

Once you have completed all the fields and created your (SONG), if the artist you indicated is already validated, you can proceed directly to the distribution of your (SONG). If you have not yet validated the artist, you will need to go through the artist verification process. Until the artist indicated in the (SONG) is validated, it will not be possible to distribute the song.
