# Distribution Obligations with SONGS

By choosing to distribute your music with SONGS, you undertake a series of responsibilities that ensure the fulfillment of commitments made to the SongShare holders and the proper management of your works.

**Changing Distributor:**

Artists have the freedom to change distributors as long as they hold the 10,000 [SongShares ](/songshares/what-is-a-songshare.md)corresponding to that song. These SongShares represent shares in the future benefits of the song. **If you sell or transfer any amount of SongShares to a third party, you will not be able to change distributors, as this would break the commitment to distribute future benefits to the new SongShare owners**. To transfer the song to another distributor, you need to recover all the previously distributed or sold SongShares.

This exclusivity applies only to digital distribution, thus maintaining a transparent and beneficial business model for all parties involved in the song's distribution.
